The Hunt...

Bellbrook held their Easter Egg Hunt this year - the weekend after Easter. It was FREEZING outside - but Maddie and Kobe had fun. Madison even got her face painted like a big girl!! Being the amazing photographer that I am - I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize until it was all over that I overexposed all the pictures - but you can still kind of get the idea...

Avery's Baptism

Renee and Alex had Avery's baptism on Sunday - she looked so pretty and was an angel the whole day. I was lucky to be a part of the day as their "official photographer" haha! Our friend Alison also came with her little family. She just had a little boy a few months after Jackson - he is ADORABLE and sooo snuggly and happy just like my little man. I couldn't get enough of him!

Walking to School

Since we decided to move to Bellbrook I have been so excited to be able to walk and pick up Kobe from school as weather and time allow. Today we had both in our side - the babes and I packed up the double stroller as if we were going trekking in the Amazon for a week (truly - how many diapers, bottles, sippy's, and cheerios does one need for a 25 minute jont??) and headed to Reeder to pick up Kobe - he was SO excited when he realized we got to walk home too.

Some face time for Jake

Our poor pup Jake has been left in the dark for long enough... literally and figuratively. Not only is he getting some face time of the blog today - but I finally went out and bought a post and tie out for the backyard. Matt swears it won't hold him - but I think once again - he is going to be proven wrong. Now he can spend some much needed time outside playing with Kobe, chatting up the neighbor husky, and enjoying the fresh air. We were all so excited to see Jakey so happy today.

A lesson learned

Apparenty if you paint your daughter's toenails and you forget to screw the lid all the way back onto the nail polish - when you accidentally knock the bottle off the counter with the diaper bag - the polish will actually splatter a good 12 feet through out your kitchen...

A very hoppy easter

We colored eggs on Saturday with the kids - Jackson thought it was more fun to eat the eggs and throw them than anything. Saturday morning the Easter bunny came and then we headed to Shen with my parents to spend the day with Matt's family. We had a blast and even got visits from Matt's friends who are always so fun to see.

Bath Time at Nana's

My mom's house is the greatest place for bathtime because they have individual heaters in their bathrooms - so it is nice and toasty for the babies. Jax is big enough now that he has started to sit up in his big boy bath seat. And of course - if Jackson is doing something - Madison has to as well - even if she uses the bath seat to watch Elmo in the living room...

Happy March Madness!!

Matt and I were so fortunate to get tickets to the first session of yesterdays games. We had awesome seats and while the games were complete blow outs, we still had a blast. We headed back after the UNLV game and hung out with the kids and nana for a bit - and then headed out to Two Fine Irishmen to catch some more of the night games. The entire day/night was awesome!! We are so thankful to have a nana who is always willing to spend time with the kids so Matt and I can get out every now and then!

A visit from the Jackson cousins...

My cousins (along with my aunt and uncle) came to visit us last weekend. They live in Indiana so we only get to see them a couple times a year at best, so it was great to see them all again! There are 6 kids in their family and the youngest girl stole Jackson's heart and she spent the whole night taking care of him! The youngest child of the family happens to be a boy and is only about 2 years ahead of Kobe so they have a BLAST when they see each other.

Madison and Kobe are so funny together - she was feeding him chips last night while he played Gameboy... sometimes I feel bad for Kobe because he has to do so much to help out - but after seeing what he has trained his sister to do I don't feel as bad anymore! haha!

Just some more random thoughts...

We have spent the last couple days in my favorite way... with lots of people around! Yesterday Avery came over for her first photo shoot - she did so great and is getting even more beautiful by the day - I will post a sneak peek below of some of her pictures.

Renee and I and our girls!

Madison and her Godfather (Avery's Daddy) Alex!

Then in the evening Gama (Matt's Grandma) and Carolyn (Matt's cousin), and Nick and Jess and Maren came over for dinner and to hang out.
Maren thinks she might like the jumper - even though her toes couldn't touch!!

Today we took Gama to lunch at Chamilles and then got to spend part of the afternoon at one of our favorite places to be, the Stengers, and then they came over tonight so Joel could help us with some techy nerd stuff...

waiting on Spencer and Taylor...

The small dirt pile behind our house is ever growing as they continue to build, and is a huge hit with the kids now that the weather is warming up!

Kobe has taught Madison the magic of "secret forts" - they had snacks under the kitchen table today and Maddie giggled the whole time!

Madison is also learning the beauty of discipline. While she takes her time outs like a champ, we are worried they aren't too effective. After exhausting myself taking her all the way upstairs to her room every time (yes - she gets a lot of them...) I started the corner as her new time out place.

She so wants to be just like her big brother...

Jax is getting SOO big now - he can pretty much sit on his own - he still topples over quite a bit - but it doesn't seem to bother him. And if you look closely you can see his 2 little teeth!

Work Weekend

We spent the entire weekend working on the loft. My dad made me a really really nice desk, but because everything my dad makes is over the top and unique (which is what we love) instead of hooking it up to the wall like normal - he had to hook it through the wall and into the studs in the attic... i know that doesn't make much sense but it gives an idea as to why it took so long and why he is in the attic... :)

On Sunday we started laying the flooring - it is almost completed we just have about 1/2 the office left to do. Matt did an awesome job and pretty much took charge of the whole event. Madison even came up to help Boppa out.

We decided to put the kids footprints on the plywood floors before the flooring went down - it turned out pretty cute!

It was a long weekend - especially for Nana who had the all important job of taking care of the kids while we worked. We are getting a lot done - but still have so much to do!!!
