Well - we had a pretty fun weekend enjoying the gorgeous weather outside and taking advantage of still being a family of 4 and easily able to run around and do things!
Saturday was "Elkhorn Day" so I took the kids to the pancake breakfast and (Madison's first!) parade. Kobe is now the proud owner of about a 20 pound bag of candy and Madison was happy with the flags and freeze pops and enjoying the company of her little friend Mallory who happens to be my best friend, Katie's, little niece. They had a great time and got to even go spend some time with just Nana and Boppa doing some of the other events that day while I got to go shoot pictures of Katie's other newborn niece, from a different brother, named Julia who is an absolute doll and it was so great to get to meet her - they have such a perfect little family. That evening my parents and I took the kids to the Summer Arts Festival to hang out. Sunday we had some more fun in the sun with squirt gun fights, sprinklers and more "pool time" in a slightly upgraded pool - hahaha... Fortunately Kobe still is not above doing just about anything to get a smile out of Madison, even if it means wearing her pink polk-a-dot hat. Madison has mastered climbing the stairs and is loving her new found freedom. We even got to end the weekend with dinner at Aunt Karen's which happens to be a family favorite - the food was great and we got to see our new baby cousin Addison who could not have been any more adorable.
