Matt and I got to go back to Shen for a wedding without the kids on Saturday. We had a great time getting to visit Matt's friends.

Happy Birthday Nana!!!

It was Nana's birthday today and being the completely selfless Nana that she is - she spent it with us by going to Kobe's baseball game and then out to Applebees.
Boppa got her a new white stove for her birthday - and for those of you that don't know - this is huge - she truly still has the original avocado stove from 1975 in her kitchen and has been wanting a white ceramic top stove for about the past 15 years.
As always the kids love spending time with their Nana and we just want to thank her for being the best Nana and mom we could ever ask for and we hope she enjoyed her birthday!!!!

I just wanted to point out the newest change to our blog in the right side. It is a list of local business' that I either really like, or that friends of mine own, or in many cases - both! Here is a quick run down on each...
Micky G's - This is a clothing botique for babies, children, and big kids - like me I guess... They have wonderful and unique clothes and gifts - the only down side... they are located in Shen...
The Chocolate Season - Brad Jensen is a good friend of mine from photography school and his wife owns this business. She is amazing at what she does and is the definition of a perfectionist - which in a business like hers is wonderful!! Truly if you are ever in need of a gift basket or something to send please contact her - she will work with you and does such an incredible job! The Chocolate Season offers so many different types of products and you have so much to choose from - trust me - it is better than sending flowers any day!!
The Corner Nook - This little home decor / gift store is located in Waterloo - which seems like it is to the ends of the earth - but truly is just about 5 minutes past Elkhorn. It is one of my mom's favorite places and I went there today and it has sooooo much great stuff and is so reasonably priced - and the great thing is - it isn't like the big chain stores - everything is unique. You won't have the same stuff as your neighbor. Take the time to drive out there - it is so worth it!!
Daisy Girl - This place is actually based out of Iowa - they offer bath and skin products and have baby lotion that is to die for!! :) You will never want to put your little ones down! You can shop online and she has some really fun products!

While I usually love storms, I could do without the nightly tornado warnings. It makes for some great pictures though. Hope that you were all safe and mostly unaffected by Saturday Night's storm!!

Casa de Kirby

My mom and I took the kids and went with Steph and her parents up to their lake house this weekend. They have a beautiful house with an even more amazing view. Kobe had a blast with Steph's parents - they were so great to him letting him drive the boat around the lake, and the golf cart all over the place. The babies had so much fun with some much needed Aunt Stephy time. Mae Mae kept telling Aunt Fefee how much she loved her! I am sooo lucky to have a best friend who has such an amazing relationship with my kids - even from 500 miles away! Thank you so much to the Kirby's for having us up!

Our friends Emily and Emma from Shenandoah came to Omaha to play today. The girls took a little while to warm up to each other but once they did they had a great time!!




Aunt Fluffy even came over today and made cookies with Maddie, she taught her that the best part of it all is eating the cookie dough!!
